Food Finds at Los Banos Laguna

Los Banos has always been my second home and I think this is the perfect destination for cheap gastronomic thrills.  Although going there is not what I would call "easy", I think the long trip to and fro is still worth it.  There are no aircon buses from Alabang that would go to "College" (Los Banos) and although there are air-conditioned vans that would pass there, you will have to suffer being stuffed like sardines in such a confined space so its your choice.  Of course, I don't really want to scare you off because going to Los Banos can be a torture but once you are there, I can guarantee you that you'll forget the agony you've endured on your way.

So here's just a few reviews of what I have "consumed" there.

"Papu's Siomai"

An old favorite, students always turn to Papu's to get their "siomai fix".  The success of Papu's has definitely given way to other siomai stalls and yet Papu's still wins the "siomai war".   It has branched out to other areas aside from the one near Goldilocks in Vega Center and I wouldn't be surprised.  They have the cheapest and most delicious siomai in town.  The texture of their siomai is smooth and it is just heavenly when dipped in toyomansi, smothered in garlic and chili sauce.  I have eaten their siomai everyday and it never fails: I always order minimum 6 pieces.
